Getting Started
The training plan has two main sections. The first page provides basic information about the training plan and demonstrates that the student meets Child Labor Law requirements and TEA rules. This section includes fields for entering information regarding the
- student;
- school;
- training station and course;
- wage and payment; and
- applicable non-discrimination and child labor laws.
The subsequent page(s) describe the specific and related occupational training that the student will receive.
To get started, select the appropriate training plan template based on whether the work is paid or unpaid.

Wage and Payment Information
Training Period and Probationary Period Information
- The training period should begin on the first day of employment or the first day of school, whichever is the later date.
- The training period should extend through the last day of school or the student’s graduation date, whichever is the later date.
The training sponsor determines the number of days of the probationary period based on the employer’s standard policies.
