The Burnham Brothers sing "Reading with Feeling," a song explaining the importance of reading with the feelings ascribed to the characters and events. This resource teaches reading techniques and fluency.

This resource group teaches students a wide variety of reading strategies. It touches on such issues as careful reading and follow-through, context clues, capitalization, transition words, features of printed text, and the relationship between text and illustration.

Clubhouse friends visit their local library to read and discover more about birds. In this segment, kids take on the role of a bird and create a nest. Working in teams, kids apply their problem solving skills to create birds' nests without using their hands.

Jennifer Barber introduces the different characters she created for her stories when she was seven years old. She reads one of her stories using different voices to differentiate between the three characters. 

IPTV KIDS Clubhouse kids read and discover more about communication! In this segment, kids go to the library and try to get their friends to guess their favorite book titles without using any words, only drawings and actions.

Learn about the vocabulary words individual, opponent, merit, fortunately, and unfortunately with The Electric Company when a competition almost goes too far. Jessica and Manny compete to win the last copy of their favorite comic book, Mighty Bright Knight. 

Learn about the vocabulary words binoculars, discover, observe, flustered, and admit with The Electric Company when family members need assistance. Annie's Uncle Sigmund needs The Electric Company's help to talk to an old friend who has come back to visit the neighborhood.

In this lesson students explore with movement and creativity to make words come alive! Using sight word flashcards, students use their bodies to spell out simple sight words. 

This video features the Chinese story "The Little Rabbits" in both English and Chinese. The story has elements of the Western stories “Little Red Riding Hood” and “The Three Little Pigs.” 

Jessica and Hector plan to surprise their cousin with a bug zoo for his birthday party. When Francine steals the prized rhino beetle, it's up to the Electric Company to get it back in time to save the party. 

This video features the Colombian story Pastorcita in both English and Spanish. Pastorcita has many elements that are similar to “Little Bo Peep.

This Kindergarten through 5th grade activity is based on the popular game show, Minute to Win It! Students form into groups of 4-5 and perform various exercises for one minute in order to gain points. 

This activity is similar to traditional bingo. Each student gets a fitness bingo card. Creating space between them and their peers, students will act out the exercise if they have it on their bingo card. 

Charlotte and Henry play a game comparing words which use the "oo" letter combination and the different sounds they make. This resource teaches reading, sight-reading, speeling, pronunciation, and decoding.

Knowing that "ew" and "u" produce the same sound, Henry and Charlotte play a game collecting words using those letters/letter combinations from signs and billboards along the road.

Becky brings home her newest friend Rex, AKA Kid Math. They discuss having a secret identity while Becky's dad cooks.

Shock and Jessica rap and beatbox about how to pronounce the "ie" vowel combination. This resource teaches decoding, reading, and sight-reading.
